I know, Karen, you must be thinking, "Yeah, me too!"
Karen is my friend who lives in Alaska. I guess I shouldn't complain too much.
But seriously, I am having major cabin fever and need to get some direct vitamin D! And so do my kids.
So, in the mean time, we haven't really been up to much. Some how though, we manage to wear ourselves out and fall asleep on the living room floor while playing horsies!
Adam was involved in a spelling bee. Unfortunately, he said, "Q" when he started to spell "cucumber." I think he was just nervous. He got out on the first round. But we're still proud of him!
And he's the most thoughtful kid ever! He gave me this cookie with a fortune on it. It reads, "You will get a day off on Mother's Day!" I'm going to hold him to it! 
Like I said earlier, I shouldn't be complaining about the weather. Really, it hasn't been that bad! Today we even spent 2 hours outside and it was so nice to be out and have the kids playing with their friends!
Last, but not least, here's what we found on our fence this morning. A couple weeks ago it was on our front porch. Somehow this "adorable" duck keeps making it back to our house. Don't worry, we have a couple homes we know will love it as much as we do!

Oh my gosh Mindy, I am laughing SO hard right now. I started reading your post and immediately, I thought to myself..."She has no idea, I would love to have their weather right now!!" and then I read the part about me. You are so funny!! Thanks for thinking of me and I do hope it helps you feel better!! I cannot WAIT to come this summer and feel some seriously HOT sun!! We are going to swim and play like crazy!! I can't wait to see you guys! We are gonna have to plan some fun outings!!
I'm with you...we are ready for WARM weather! I'm glad that you and the kids have been finding fun things to do, though, and that you were able to spend some time playing outside.
